HxSin

MoGi's Evil Twin - Additive FM Synthesis - Instrumentalist
Alt image
HxSin harnesses the innovative node generation sequencer from MoGi, in combination with FM synthesis, to produce its distinctive sound. True to ET designs, there's always a captivating twist involved...

HxSin offers three exceptional modes of synthesis:

Additive Synthesis:
The sound generation begins by producing six sine waves, with each generator equipped with its own ADSR envelope and Mix output. This process results in a pure and rich additive sound, allowing for intricate tonal shaping.

FM Synthesis via Modulation Matrix:
By engaging the Modulation Matrix, the additive sound takes a fascinating turn, transforming into FM synthesis. The generators now function as operators, enabling advanced modulation possibilities, including complex chaining and cross modulation. This opens up a world of intricate and evolving soundscapes.

Subtractive Synthesis:
HxSin's synthesis engine reaches its third stage with the introduction of subtractive synthesis. Any of the six generators can be switched from Sine Mode to Wave Mode, while still retaining the same routing and modulation capabilities. This empowers you to explore a diverse range of waveforms, allowing for further sonic manipulation and experimentation.

The final stage of HxSin's synthesis journey lies in the HexBand Filter. This versatile filter offers various settings such as low, high, band, and notch, accompanied by its own ADSR envelope and resonance controls. The HexBand Filter shapes the sound with precision, enabling you to craft your desired tonal character and add depth to your compositions.

To jumpstart your creative exploration, HxSin provides a collection of 100 ready-to-use presets, offering instant inspiration and a solid foundation for crafting your own unique instruments. Let your sonic journey with HxSin begin!

Audio Demo

The demo track below shows just a few possibilities using HxSin, and by using Reaktor's random merge feature you can quickly create hundreds of new snapshots in a very short time.

HxSin is playing everything in the demo track, generating the notes, sounds and the effects.
All the examples in the demo are recorded direct to HD from HxSin no additional effects are used.

Logic was used to assemble the final track, just a multi band compressor was placed on the master output.
