Mystical Music Box - Modelling Synthesis - Instrumentalist
Alt image
MoGi is a remarkable fusion of a synthesiser and a sequencer, combining the functionalities of both instruments to produce an extraordinary and imaginative Mystical Music Box.

Unlike traditional synthesisers, MoGi utilises modelling synthesis to generate its distinct sound. While it does involve oscillators in its object generator, they serve a unique purpose rather than the conventional approach. Abundant filters are also present in MoGi, but they contribute differently to the process of sound creation.

Sound generation in MoGi involves the combination of three distinct energy forces: WHITE NOISE, a PURE TONE, and RESONANT MODE WAVES. This TRI HARMONIC SOURCE is then modified through filters, delays, and feedback to shape it into a resonating object, which can resemble the vibrations of a string, a wind instrument, or even a percussive element.

Once a resonating object is obtained, MoGi offers real-time shaping and modulation capabilities. Not only can you naturally alter the sound's evolution, but MoGi can also push the harmonic structure far beyond the limitations of conventional synthesised instruments. It creates a continuously evolving sequence of textures with an impressive maximum polyphony of 18 voices, all without requiring you to play a single note.

To facilitate your journey in crafting your own unique instruments, MoGi provides 127 presets that are ready to be explored and utilised.

Audio Demo

The demo track below shows just a few possibilities using MoGi, and by using Reaktor's random merge feature you can quickly create hundreds of new snapshots in a very short time.

MoGi is playing everything in the demo track, generating the notes, sounds and the effects.
All the examples in the demo are recorded direct to HD from MoGi no additional effects are used.

Logic was used to assemble the final track, just a multi band compressor was placed on the master output.
